Flight listing policy and procedures

  • New Listing site for QR flights  https://stafftravel.qatarairways.com.qa 
  • Rebate ticket listing can be done on New QR listing system, for staff holding own carrier issued tickets (IET).
  • For tickets issued thru Myidtravel system (NIET),  listing or changes can be done thru Myidtravel itself.

Visas and Passports and API

  • Travelling staff/family should ensure that they hold a valid passport and relevant visas for their intended destination and/or scheduled points en route, incase off-loading becomes necessary.
  • In the absence of valid passport / visas, staff passengers may be denied boarding.

Embargoes & Restrictions

  • Children under 12 years of age are not allowed to travel in Business class, even if accompanied by an Adult.
  • All QR flights operating to and from Dubai “Al Maktoum Airport (DWC)” are not eligible for Staff rebate tickets. Due to this, listings cannot be done on DOH-DWC-DOH QR flights.

Baggage

Checked baggage

For rebate tickets issued thru Myidtravel, Check-in baggage will be as mentioned in ticket. 

For tickets issued manually as per ZED Agreement (IET), check-in allowance to be mentioned in ticket as below.

Economy Class

  • For weight concept sectors - 30kgs/per pax.
  • For piece concept sectors - 2 pieces, each not to exceed 23kg and a maximum dimension of 158cm (62in).

Business class

  • For weight concept sectors - 40Kg / Per pax.
  • For piece concept sectors - 2 pieces, each not to exceed 32kg and a maximum dimension of 158cm (62in).

Boarding policy

  • As per industry practise ZED passengers will have lower priority over QR revenue passengers.
  • QR staff will have a higher priority over other airline staff holding ZED tickets.

Dress code

General

  • QR Stations have obligation to refuse improperly dressed ID passengers.
  • Staff and their families are required to wear “Smart Casual”. Clothing should be neat, free of damage, well maintained, appropriately fitted, and in good condition.

Acceptable attire as below:

  • Smart jeans/denim and chinos that are neat, plain and appropriately fitted are acceptable in any cabin.
  • Polo shirt, collarless plain T-shirt, collared shirt, blouse, smart dress or skirt (knee-length or longer).
  • Sneakers/trainers/boots that are plain, color neutral and overall presentable are acceptable in any cabin.
  • Smart Casual ladies' sandals (flat or heeled) similar to those that would be worn to the office.
  • Full professional national dress (male & female Qatari, GCC or other nationalities) including appropriate sandals.
  • Children aged 12 years and below traveling in any cabin are allowed to wear more casual clothing (i.e. shorts, T-shirts, running shoes).

Strictly not allowed for all cabins is shown as below:

  • Jeans that are dirty, or too distressed, with any holes or rips.
  • "Overly revealing" clothing, sweatpants, sportswear attire, beach clothing, and any kind of shorts or athletic or athleisure wear.
  • Flip-flops, sliders, beach slippers, croc-style shoes/sandals, Birkenstock-style sandals.
  • Clothing that is vulgar or violates community standards or decency is never appropriate, including items that have words, terms, or pictures that may be offensive to others.
  • Hats of any kind, including caps.
  • Any tight, short skirts or dresses above the knee, see-through, revealing and sleeveless clothing (shoulders must be covered).
  • Tip: To avoid last minute inconveniences owing to dress code issues and unnecessary debates during boarding time, please refrain from using attire that may be misunderstood as restricted.

 

 Special service requests

Special meals

  • It is not possible to pre-book special meals for rebate/standby passengers.

Seat requests

  • Seat requests not permitted on Staff Travel. However, if the flight is wide open, the check-in staff may ask your option for an isle or window seat, but this is subject to availability.
  • Even if you are assigned a specific seat at check-in, this may be changed to accommodate commercial requirements, if any.

Infant safety seats

  • Use of safety seat for an Infant is not permitted on board.

Unaccompanied minors

  • Not permitted.

Other

  • No other Special service requests is permitted when travelling on Standby / Space Available tickets.

Upgrade policy

  • Please do not ask any QR staff for an upgrade.

Useful extra information

Flight deck

  • Acceptance of any person in the flight deck of QR Aircraft is prohibited.

Insurance

  • Comprehensive Travel Insurance recommended for passengers own benefit, as QR shall not compensate for any injury, illness or loss of money, documents or other personal possessions etc. during the passengers stay away from home.

Class difference refunds

  • Class difference refund is not given, if staff passenger traveled on a lower cabin than the ticketed cabin.

  Back-up tickets

  • QR expects all interline employees and/or their eligible nominees to carry back up tickets issued by their respective employing carrier.
