E-tickets only - flight listing procedure

As from January 1st 2013, KLM only accepts electronic ZED-tickets on KLM flights. Interline agreements of airlines that have no e-tickting possibility have consequently been suspended.

All listings on KLM flights with IET-tickets have to be made via MyIDListing - details of the listing methodology via MyIDListing have been provided to your airlines' staff travel department.

In case of a changed travel itinerary, please cancel the affected listing on KLM flights.

Make sure a printed copy of the e-ticket and listing can be shown during the check-in process.

Split tickets

A number of KLM-flights consist of a series of separate destinations, these flights are the so-called tailend-flights (for example AMS-KUL-JKT) or circle-flights (for example AMS-SXM-CUR-AMS).

For these combined KLM-routes strict rules apply with regards to the specific ISA (If Seats Available)-tickets that are to be requested. On a number of these routes it is compulsory to purchase specific ISA-tickets before the outbound flight commences, to ensure that in case of an offload of an ISA-traveler on an intermediate station (for example due to boarding of commercial passengers), the ISA-traveler is always in possession of the required ISA-tickets to continue the journey.

Destinations with compulsory split tickets

In the table below, the KLM-routes are shown for which an ISA traveler is obliged to make use of split tickets.

On all stations indicated with *) an offload-risk exists.

Destinations with visa restrictions

On some KLM-destinations (ie. KWI, DMM, ABV, KAN, KRT, EBB, KGL) very strict visa rules apply. These rules have a direct effect on the ISA-tickets that are to be requested.

In the table below you find the respective KLM-destinations with these strict visa rules. Always ensure to check www.cibt.nl for the latest visa requirements.

 Dar es Salam (DAR)KL567/KL569/KL571AMS-JRO-DAR-AMSJROAMS-DAR,DAR-AMS

In case of final destination KWI(via DMM), DMM (via KWI), EBB (via KGL) and KGL(via EBB) the KLM Ground Staff in Amsterdam will only accept the ISA-traveler to the final destination in case a guarantee exists that the traveler can remain on board until the planned final destination. This acceptance procedure has been decided on due to the strict visa regulations, that don’t allow KLM to offload passengers in the intermediate stations.

Destinations with lack of traffic rights

A number of the shown KLM-flights contain routes for which KLM does not have commercial traffic rights. On these routes, it is legally not allowed that KLM issues ISA-tickets. Consequently, in some instances (for example due to an offload) it may be required for the ISA traveler to purchase additional commercial or ISA tickets to reach the final destination.

On all stations indicated with *) an offload-risk exists.

In case of an offload or stranding an ISA-traveler will need to take care of purchasing the required tickets to reach the final destination.

Example 1: an ISA-traveler travels on KL785 from Amsterdam to destination Curacao, but is offloaded on Sint Maarten. Due to the lack of commercial traffic rights on the route SXM-CUR, the ISA-traveler will have to purchase a commercial ticket SXM-CUR (the situation in which an ISA-traveler may have to purchase a commercial ticket may also occur on the routes JRO-DAR, SXM-BON and AUA-CUR)

Example 2: on Aruba, an ISA-traveler is accepted to Amsterdam on a coupon AUA-AMS, however on Bonaire the traveler is offloaded. In this case the ISA-traveler will still require an ISA-ticket BON-AMS to be able to reach the final destination AMS. The ISA-traveler always needs to ensure that this ticket is available through purchasing the ticket beforehand.

Important

At all times it is the responsibility of the ISA-traveler to be in possession of the correct ISA-tickets to reach the required destination. During an ISA-journey, it is under no circumstances allowed to request ISA-tickets at airports or at local KLM-offices.
