Flight listing policy and procedures:

  • Listing is mandatory. 
  • For tickets issued through myIDTravel (NiET), listing or changes can be done through myIDTravel system.

Visas and Passports:

  • Travelling staff/family should ensure that they hold a valid passport and a relevant visa for their intended destination and/or via points en-route, incase off-loading situation arises.   
  • In the absence of a valid passport / visa, staff passengers may be denied boarding.

  • All code share flights not operated by AI in the range AI 6000 and 9999 (subject to change).
  • All flights not operated by AI.

Baggage:

Checked baggage

  • For ZED tickets issued through myIDTravel, check-in baggage will be as mentioned on ticket.

Boarding policy:

  • In line with Industry practise, passengers travelling on ZED tickets are assigned a lower boarding priority over revenue passengers. 
  • Employees of AI and its Group carriers are accorded a higher boarding priority than staff from other airlines travelling on ZED tickets.

Dress code: 

General

  • Staff and their family members are required to wear "Smart Casuals".  Clothing should be neat, free of damage and well maintained.

Acceptable attire as below

  • Smart Jeans / denim and Chinos that are neat, plain and appropriately fitted. Polo T-shirts, collared or collarless plain T-shirts, Collared Shirt, blouse, smart dress or skirt (knee-length or longer), Sneakers, Boots, Smart casual ladies sandals (flat or heeled), Full professional national dress including appropriate sandals. 
  • Please note that adherence to the prescribed dress code is mandatory.   Air India reserves the right to deny travel under ZED to any passenger who is not appropriately attired.

Special service requests:

Special meals

  • It is not possible to pre-book special meals while travelling on rebate/standby tickets.

Seat requests

  • Seat requests are not permitted on Staff Travel. However, if the flight is wide open, the check-in staff may ask your option for an Isle or Window seat, but this is subject to availability.
  • Even if you are assigned a specific seat at Check-in, this may be changed to accommodate commercial requirements, if any.  Staff is expected to cooperate for same.

Unaccompanied Minors

  • Not permitted.

Refunds:

  • Tickets that are partially or completely unused can be automatically processed via the myIDTravel system.
  • In the event you are not accepted in Business cabin when traveling on a Subload/Firm Business ticket, you may request for a refund, if applicable, of the difference between cabin booked and cabin travelled. You must request a refund within 01 (one) month of the last flown flight. Refunds requested later than 01 month cannot be processed. 
  • For Downgrade refunds you may send an email to myidtravelrefunds@airindia.com with your subject line as "Claiming Downgrade Refunds".
  • If you encounter any problems with full or partial refund through myIDTravel, send us an email at myidtravelrefunds@airindia.com along with a screenshot of the issue you are experiencing.

Additional information:

  • No other special service requests is permitted when travelling on Standby / Space Available tickets.
  • Please do not ask any AI check-in staff or onboard crew for an upgrade. 
  • Acceptance of any person in the flight deck is prohibited.  Do not make such requests.
  • Incase you are holding a Firm ticket, but decide not to travel, kindly ensure to cancel the booking at the earliest possible.
